There is help out there for Exporters!
One of the major challenges for both first time exporters and existing exporters is the time and commitment and cost of beginning the international trade journey. Go International have helped many clients to take those first few steps and we are delighted to be able to help other companies…with the help of funded help from the Department for International Trade Yorkshire and the Humber who will deliver a programme of £6.7m of European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funding for the Exporting for Growth programme.
The programme will deliver support to both first time exporters and those already exporting, across the Leeds City Region, Sheffield City Region and Humber LEPs, to allow businesses to grow their success within international markets. Any company looking for funding must be working with the Department for International Trade and support must fit within a company’s overall export strategy.
ERDF, part of the European Structural and Investment Funds programme (ESIF), provides funding to support economic growth in England.
The programme focuses on strengthening the regions’ businesses and increasing employment. Companies can access matched financial support to develop exports and generate job creation.
- A business must be a small and medium size enterprise (SME) to receive the support and meet the following criteria:
- • Less than 250 employees
- • No more than 25% of the organisation is owned by an enterprise that in itself is not an SME
- • Annual turnover does not exceed €50 million OR annual balance sheet does not exceed €43 million
- • Create a minimum of one vacancy as part of the project
